Autumn Term 2017 - A Roman day out.
We had an amazing and very busy day out. Although the Romans didn't actually eat pizza they were known to enjoy flatbreads with a range of food that could be considered similar to the toppings we have today. So we started our day with a trip to Pizza Express in Truro where we were taught how to make pizzas. We had a fantastic morning and our pizzas proved to be very delicious!
We then headed over to Truro Museum to take pert in a Roman workshop where we were able to handle 3000 year old artefacts and learnt about Roman houses, called villas, and the sort of things Romans would have had in them. We also created our own versions of roman lamps.
